Cucumber and Comfrey

Coconut and palm oil base

• An all-vegetable soap containing cucumber, a mild cleansing agent and skin toner, and comfrey, an herb containing allantoin, a protein that helps heal rough and damaged skin.

Every summer, when local, fresh cucumbers are available, we buy bushels. We peel them and juice them. There is cucumber all over the place as we make gallons of cucumber juice. We add this juice to the soap bar along with the herb comfrey. Both ingredients are designed to sooth skin.
